Baby David at 2 months!

Well, Winter semester ended at BYU-Idaho and John started his internship with Bailey's Moving and Storage in North Salt Lake. We're staying at his parent's house for now until we head back to Idaho for John's last semester! All those years I promised myself I would never end up living in my parent's basement and that's where I find myself. I guess it was an easier promise to make when I only had one set of parents who never had a basement. Haha! But, really, it's great to be staying with my family! They're a lot of fun and it's hard to be bored with so many siblings and great In-laws around! :)

John and I celebrated our 1 year anniversary on May 12! It has been such an amazing year and I couldn't be happier! :) John is so amazing and I am blessed to have him in my life and as my eternal companion! It was also my first Mother's Day with our sweet baby boy! He is getting cuter every day!

So an update on David:
David on April 12 in the Peruvian hat his Aunt Julia gave him!
David Brian Le Starge is about 2 months old now! He is so cute and sweet!
He can hold his head up very well and likes to kick his feet when he's frustrated.

It also seems like he's had the hiccups almost every other day since he was born. Haha!

He's been making his fun baby noises to practice his sounds and makes cute little whining sounds after he stops crying. He's getting a lot better at recognizing people and focusing with his eyes. He also sometimes likes to sit in his swing or little bouncy chair.

He also has been discovering that he can suck on his hands. Whenever his binkie falls out he tries to shove his whole fist in his mouth! Haha! He still hasn't discovered that he has a thumb, and I'm kind of hoping he doesn't. (At least not that he can suck on his thumb anyway!)

Sometimes he'll smile in his sleep in a way that sounds and looks like he's laughing. He must have some very funny dreams!

Another fun thing about David is that whenever he sneezes, it's at least three times in a row or more! He gets that from his daddy's side! Haha!

His eyes haven't changed much from their dark slightly blue eyes, but I still think they'll turn out brown like John's. I guess we'll just have to wait and see! :)

Also, we don't have a scale yet and so we had no idea what David's (or anyone's) weight is. Our parent's scale is broken, so we turned to the only other solution we could think of...Walmart. Haha! He weighed in at around 13.5 lbs, but that's not a for sure number because he was weighed really quickly...

He's here!!! David Brian Le Starge

He's here!!!

On Wednesday, I wasn't feeling very well and after mine and John's classes, we decided to go to the Women's Clinic just to make sure I was alright. When we got there, we found out that I was already dilated to a 7!!! Wow! Luckily we brought our hospital bags just in case so we were able to go straight to the hospital. The ironic thing is just that morning when I noticed I felt a little different (but didn't think anything of it) I had teased John that "today could be the day! Haha!"

Our sweet baby boy was born on Wednesday, May 20, 2013 at 11:03 pm. He was 8 lbs. 3 oz. and 20 3/4 inches long. We decided to name him David Brian Le Starge (After both of our Dad's). He is such a sweet baby boy!

Here we are right before we went home with our sweet son!

John was so tired after that first night!

He's one week old in this picture with a binkie Tami and Julia gave him.
He won't suck on it yet, but we got it in his mouth long enough to take a quick picture!

One month left!

One month to go! I can't believe it's so close! Our little boy is doing great! He was 5 1/2 lbs at my last appointment and everything is checking out fine! Here's a picture of how huge I'm getting! And there's still more to go! Yikes! :)
There's still so much to do! I'm getting a lot more done though. I pre-registered at the hospital after getting a quick look around and I'm almost done packing my hospital bag! There are a few things I'm waiting to pack, like snacks and a sandwich for John (obviously!).
Also, I finished taking" inventory" for baby to see what we have for him. I can't wait for him to come! He's going to be the cutest baby boy ever! (If he looks like John, that is!)

So, I decided that every pregnant lady should have the opportunity to get their picture taken in a Barbie box. They randomly had this on campus, so John and I hurried to take a picture! Definitely a highlight of the week!I barely fit in the box though. It was kind of small, and I'm, well, kind of big at the moment! (that might be an understatement. Haha!)

Well, almost there! Only about three weeks left and all is going great! It's amazing how sometimes you wish that life would just pause, like as if it couldn't get any better. And then, sometimes less than a year later, you find yourself wishing the same thing all over again! I guess it just goes to show it keeps on getting better! :)

It's a Boy!!!

We found out on Wednesday, November 14th that we're having a sweet baby BOY!!! John and I are so excited! We would've been fine with either a girl or a boy, but we were both secretly hoping we'd have a boy first. When the doctor told us, we just sat in stunned silence for a second. I guess when it came time that we actually found out, we just didn't know what to say! We just kind of sat there smiling. Haha!

Even though we wanted a boy first, we weren't able to think of any boy names that we for sure liked. (We thought of lots of girl names though...ironic!) The only name I wanted to name one of my sons was Jonathan and then I got lucky and actually married one instead!

So, yeah, we're still deciding on the name. We have a few in mind, but we decided that we're not officially choosing one for him until he's here. There are a few we've crossed off our list however, such as:
Tommy
Sarge Le Starge
and Bucky Braynard (Sorry Dad)

Well, the time's moving fast and we still have a lot to do to get ready!
